Strong Winds Force Multiple Ground Stops At Boston Logan Airport

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Strong winds from a storm Monday forced multiple ground stops at Boston Logan International Airport.

The first ground stop was for flights to Logan Airport. It started at 10 a.m. and was extended until 1 p.m. The second ground stop was issued a short time later at 2:20 p.m. The second one was also for flights to Logan.

By 2:35 p.m., more than 200 were cancelled and about 320 flights were delayed, according to FlightAware.

The storm has brought strong winds and heavy rains to the region.
