BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Storrow Drive Eastbound is now reopened for traffic after a late-night Storrowing. State Police said a tractor-trailer slammed into the train bridge near the BU Bridge late Monday night.

The truck hit the rail bridge so hard it needed to be taken apart for crews to start to remove it, according to WBZ Traffic reporter Lori Grande. The wreckage of the truck was finally removed around 8:00 a.m. and moved to the DoubleTree hotel parking lot.

State Police said all lanes were closed throughout the morning on Storrow East, with traffic being diverted to Western Avenue in Brighton.
