BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — On a national list of the most-fun states, Massachusetts comes in at number 28. And that's the best it gets for New England. Personal finance company Wallethub released their ranking of all 50 states this week.
The rest of the states are a grim mix of bottom-10 tier rankings.
- Maine: 41
- Connecticut: 43
- New Hampshire: 44
- Vermont: 45
- Rhode Island: 47
The rankings seem to make more sense when we crack open Wallethub's methodology. The study looks at the total number of things like bars, movie theaters, golf courses and other attractions. Weather is also given heavy weight, as well as the length of coastline.
