BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A short stroll and sunlight might have better health benefits than a morning cup joe according to a new survey.
Data from a study initiated by the Cleveland Clinic analyzed how physical activity affects those with chronic insufficient sleep, found that just 10 minutes of walking could be more energizing than 50 milligrams of caffeine. Some residents like Lindsay from Revere say they aren't surprised by the results.
"I played lacrosse in college, and I was not a coffee drinker until I actually started working," she said. "So we used to have 5 a.m. practices, and that would definitely get me more energized than a cup of coffee."

Some of the benefits of sunlight listed in the survey included vitamin D, which boosts your overall mood and energy levels and helps with sleep quality, stress, and anxiety levels, something residents like Kim from Hull says she feels firsthand.
"I was in the garden out there yesterday. I did feel more invigorated out there with just a bottle of water, walking around, cleaning my garden, than sitting in the house drinking a coffee, I guess," she explained.
