SUDBURY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Sudbury Police are looking for the owner of two abandoned dogs found in town. Police said they were found "wet and exhausted" near 30 Horse Pond Road on Wednesday.

One of the dogs, a Cocker Spaniel mix, was found tied by a leash to a picnic table, and the other (a Yorkshire Terrier) had slipped out of its leash. The dogs were left within a few hundred feet of Save a Dog Inc., a Sudbury non-profit that focuses on saving abandoned dogs.

They believe the dogs were abandoned between 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 7 a.m. on Wednesday. They are now "safe and comfortable," police said.

Sudbury Police are asking for the public's help identifying the dogs or if they saw anyone with the dogs on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
