CHELSEA, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A suspect was arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a Chelsea woman.
On Monday morning, first responders found Margarita Morehead, 59, stabbed several times resulting in her death in an apartment on LaFayette Avenue, officials said.
The Suffolk County District Attorney's Office announced Tuesday that Angel T. Alvarez, 65, of North Dartmouth, was arrested and charged with murder.
Alvarez was arraigned in Chelsea District Court Tuesday morning where he pleaded not guilty, the DA's office said.
Alvarez is being held without bail and is due back in court on July 12.
