Suspect At Large After Stabbing Inside Auburn Mall

AUBURN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Authorities are asking for the public's help, after a stabbing inside the Auburn Mall left a man critically injured on Friday evening.

According to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early, calls started coming in about the attack at the mall at around 6 p.m. So far, no arrests have been made.

"We have one victim who is hospitalized in critical condition at this time, we're waiting on new updates regarding his condition," said Auburn Police Chief Andrew Sluckis Jr. on Friday evening. "It's an ongoing, very active investigation."

DA Early said anyone who was a witness to the scene, or anyone who has any cellphone or dash cam video of the incident, is asked to contact Auburn PD at 508-832-7777.

"Anything you have, whether you think it's small or large," said DA Early, "we want to hear from you."
