MANCHESTER, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A suspect wanted in connection with three recent bank robberies in New Hampshire was arrested in Waltham Monday.
Michael Wells, 55, was wanted by Manchester police for a bank robbery at a Citizen's Bank on Aug. 12, as well as one at a St. Mary's Bank on Aug. 26.
Wells was also wanted in connection with a bank robbery at a TD Bank in Nashua on Aug. 25.
In all three robberies, the suspect handed the teller a note, claimed to have a gun, and walked off with cash. No weapon was ever shown.
Wells was on escape status after walking away from Calumet Transitional Housing in Manchester earlier this month.
He also has a parole violation out of Massachusetts, which will be dealt with prior to him returning to New Hampshire.
