BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Boston Celtics find themselves in familiar territory Tuesday night trying to win a game that will propel them to the next round of the playoffs.
The Celtics have a three-games-to-one advantage over the Orlando Magic.
The Celtics took the first two games at the TD Garden then split the next two in Orlando.
Meanwhile, fans outside North Station and the TD Garden on Tuesday morning started game day early sporting Celtic green.
Tryce was decked out in her throwback Kevin Garnet jersey while on her way to work and said she looked forward to attending tonight's game with her boyfriend. "This is an unbelievable feeling," she said. "It's so exciting."
The math is pretty simple.
A win tonight means the Celtics eliminate the Magic and advance to the next round.
A loss means a Game 6 back at the TD Garden prolonging a series against a desperate team far less talented than the Celtics but more than willing to play a rough-and-tumble physical style.
Magic players so far have earned three flagrant fouls this series, while all three of the Celtics stars, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kristaps Porzingis have been injured.
As the animosity between these two teams continues to build, so does the excitement felt by Celtics fans.
Tom and his wife made the trip down from Brunswick, Maine for tonight's game, a first for Tom. "I've never been to a Celtics game," he said. "Boston is going to be crazy, so I know it's going to be a great time."
