BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Tall Ships are coming back to Boston Harbor.

It’s all part Boston’s celebration of the 250th birthday of the United States.

The parade of vessels from all over the world will be in Boston July 11-16 in 2026 as part of what’s called Sail 250.

At a press conference today, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu said “Boston is again thrilled to open its doors to the world with the return of ‘Sail Boston’ in 2026.”

Dusty Rhodes is the Executive Director of ‘Sail Boston’ who said “It’s going to be a wonderfully exciting event.”

The return of the fleet of Tall Ships in 2026 will look very much like another big birthday party held in Boston, the Bicentennial that was held back in 1976.
