BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Concord, New Hampshire High School teacher is under arrest on charges he sexually assaulted a former middle school student in Massachusetts.

Primo "Howie" Leung, 36 of Concord, New Hampshire, faces two counts of aggravated rape of a child, as well as indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and indecent assault and battery on a child over 14, out of Newton District Court. Authorities told WBZ NewsRadio the indecent assault charges relate to the same victim; the incidents occurred before and after the victim turned 14.

The department said they've been investigating Leung since February, when the New Hampshire Department of Education told them Leung was "allegedly having inappropriate contacts with female students."

"Police investigators gathered evidence which established that Mr. Leung had allegedly engaged in an inappropriate sexual relationship with a minor who was known to him," Concord Police said in a release.

Concord PD said the alleged assaults occurred while Leung was working at a summer camp at Fessenden School in Newton, Massachusetts, but said the incidents occurred in both and Newton and in Concord, where the victim lived.

According to court documents, Leung harmed himself on March 28 after authorities informed him he was under investigation. He was taken to Concord Hospital, where he was arrested Wednesday as a fugitive from justice from Massachusetts.

Concord Police are still investigating, and said they executed searches at Concord High School and Leung's home.

They've asked anyone with information about the case to contact Lt. Sean Ford in their Criminal Investigations Division at 603-230-3728, or Newton Police at 617-796-2103.
