BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Protests took place outside many Tesla dealerships across the country on Sunday, including one right in Boston.
As Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) continue trying to thin the federal government, more outrage is brewing over spending and job cuts. Organizers are calling these protests Tesla Takedowns and they are trying to hit Elon Musk where it hurts: his wallet.
“Regular people are standing up and saying we’re not going to take that, and the most direct way to do something about it is to takedown his favorite company, which is Tesla,” said one protester.
More than 100 protesters gathered outside the Tesla dealership on Boylston Street on Sunday, many carrying signs and instruments. When a Cybertruck drove past the crowd, they erupted in boos.
“We need to use our voices to inform the public of what’s going on,” said another protestor.
Organizers told WBZ NewsRadio that they will continue holding more Tesla Takedowns until Musk is no longer calling shots at the federal level.
“We don’t need this company anymore, and we don’t need Elon Musk,” said one of the protest’s organizers.
