Tewksbury Police Respond To Gunfire On Main Street

TEWKSBURY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Early Saturday morning, the Tewksbury Police responded to a Motel 6 on Main Street after receiving a report of a gunshot in the area.

Officers said that upon arrival they initiated an on-scene investigation, after which they learned that a shot had been fired towards three victims. Police said that there were no injuries reported from the incident.

The suspect fled the scene prior to law enforcement's arrival based on information obtained in investigation, police said.

Preliminary investigation indicated that the shooting was not a random act of violence, Police Chief Ryan Columbus said that the incident remains under investigation.
