TEWKSBURY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Tewksbury Police are searching for a suspect they say robbed a bank on Mainstreet Wednesday Afternoon.
Officers responded to reports of a robbery at a Salem Five bank at around 3:15 p.m. where they said a man had entered the bank, approached two tellers, and demanded they give him money.
Tewksbury Police said the man claimed to have a firearm. The tellers gave him an undisclosed amount of cash and he then fled the bank on foot. Police searched the surrounding area with police dogs but did not find the suspect.
No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a white man around the age of 40. He was wearing a black hoodie, gray pants, black gloves, a Patriots hat, and a surgical mask. Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to reach out to them or submit an anonymous tip.

Tewksbury Police said they are investigating to see if this robbery was connected to a previous robbery at the same bank on March 7.
