MARSHFIELD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The 156th Marshfield Fair begins on Friday at noon. Volunteers are ready to welcome the thousands of people who are expected to attend.
“I really [and] truly believe that the fair is part of your family,” said Bonnie, a volunteer at the fair.

“What you’re used to in the past but we’re still going to have all of those great elements because we’re almost building our fair back,” said one of the fair’s organizers.
The fair will feature blacksmiths, magic shows, live music, petting zoos, carnival rides, and more.
The fair will also have a kids’ zone for the little ones too.
“We have a new kid's zone, kids can come all day long and enjoy all the carnival games there,” added another fair organizer.
For some Marshfield residents, the fair is an opportunity for the community to come together and catch up with their neighbors.
“I [always] see people that I haven’t seen in years,” said a local resident.
Tickets for the fair are available on their website, and the fairgrounds are open daily from noon-10pm through August 25.
