BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) – The Boch Center has become the first performing arts center in Boston to offer on-site rapid Covid-19 tests.
The venue started offering guests the test Saturday night in the Wang Theatre reception area just right of the main entrance.
In order to attend a show at either the Wang or Shubert Theatre, CEO Josiah Spaulding said people need to meet some criteria.
“You do have to wear a mask inside,” he said. “You do have to show proof of vaccination.”

Attendees also must provide a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours of a show.
The onsite testing is a quick and convenient option for people like Mary-Beth who is already vaccinated.
“I forgot my card and I panicked thinking I wasn’t going to get in,” she said.
The test delivers results in 15 to 20 minutes and costs 30 dollars.
