BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Bruins will have a new announcer calling games next season.

Judd Sirott, the man who will be NESN’s next play-by-play announcer for the team, is not an unfamiliar voice to Bruins fans, having previously served as the radio voice of the Bruins for 98.5 The Sports Hub.

Before his tenure with The Sports Hub, Sirott served with the Chicago Cubs as a radio play-by-play announcer and host on WGN-AM, while working as a correspondent for the MLB Network. Prior to that, he also called games nationally for AXS TV and the NHL Network.

“This job is unrivaled around the National Hockey League: an Original Six team, in a spectacular hockey market, in one of the premier cities in the country,” said Sirott. “It is my honor to be NESN’s new play-by-play announcer for the Boston Bruins,” he added.

Sirott has also been honored twice in 2018 and 2023 for “Best Sports Play-By-Play" by the Massachusetts Broadcasters Association and will make his NESN debut with former NHL player Andy Brickley who is in his 24th season with NESN.
