HARRISVILLE, R.I. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Conjuring House in Harrisville, R.I. has been reporting paranormal activity for hundreds of years and a new owner said it's still happening today.

The old farmhouse was built in the 1700s and made famous through the movie "The Conjuring," based on the Perron Family's time living in the house. New owner and real estate developer Jacqueline Nunez called the house “one of the most haunted locations in the world.”

"There is a negative presence in the house. We don't really know who it is," said Nunez.

Nunez now offers tours and paranormal investigations at the house, after hearing footsteps, closing doors and more haunted happenings. She said she tries not to increase the negative presence in the area.

“Whatever you feed will grow, so we really don’t give that particular presence much energy, if you will,” said Nunez.
