ANDOVER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The oldest independent bookstore in the nation is in Andover, Mass.
Andover Bookstore sprung from the seminary at Phillips Academy in Andover 210 years ago, eventually moving to its current location on Main Street.
The former oldest independent bookstore was in Pennsylvania, but was recently taken over by Barnes and Noble.
