The Gallows In Boston's South End Announces It Is Closed For Good

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A beloved gastropub in Boston's South End announced over the weekend that it has closed its doors for good.

The Gallows, which first opened at 1395 Washington St. back in 2010, announced the closure through a post on Facebook.

"Okay, here goes. The Gallows is permanently closed," the post read. "Thanks to all of you for supporting the whole team over the past 11 years. The Gallows will always be my first baby + I will forever be grateful. May its memory be a blessing. xo, RRG."

The restaurant was known for it's American-style eats and offerings of beer, wine and cocktails. It was owned by the same group behind Blackbird Doughnuts and Sally's Sandwiches, which will both remain in business.
