BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The stars are out for the Boston Arts Academy Foundations' annual fundraiser being held Thursday night at the MGM Music Hall.
The BAA is honoring some high achievers in the entertainment industry such as actress and author Christy Cashman.
She is one of this year's award recipients (TV and Film Honoree).
Cashman, who lives in the Back Bay, talked about the respect she has for what the BAA achieves every day. "This is an organization that is really close to my heart because of my own mentorship program that I have that empowers students and kids from 13-18 in the creative space," she said.
Along with Cashman, other award recipients include Dance Honoree Debbie Allen, Fashion Honoree June Ambrose, and Music Honoree Don Law, Chairman of Live Nation New England.
Among those performing at the sold-out event is James Taylor.
