BEVERLY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The owner of the North Shore Music Theater in Beverly wants to expand his business to the film industry.
Bill Hanney was responsible for the re-opening of the NSMT in 2010.
He also owns Theatre By The Sea in Wakefield, RI.
But when it comes to his Beverly operations, he said he believes he has the right business and the right location for a movie studio. "I have friends in the movie industry who thought this was a good idea," he said.
Hanney said he plans to build a movie studio on his property where the theater is currently located. "Developing this back part of our land is just an extra bonus for me in my life to say we can actually be part of the making of movies."
