BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Old Corner Christmas Store in Downtown Crossing is one of the few stores in the city that is open on Christmas Day.
“So, the store is supposed to feel like Christmas every day, 365 days a year,” said store manager Vanessa Silva.
From Christmas lights, to nutcrackers, to Boston-themed ornaments- this place has it all.
“It gives you this magical Christmas feeling, and I really love this shop because all of these colors and all of these different things,” said a customer visiting from Switzerland.
The busiest time of the year for the shop isn’t Christmas, but summer, because of all the tourists visiting the area.
“So, you can enter here in the summer, and it still feels like Christmas,” added store manager Vanessa Silva.
Among the store’s most popular items include the Boston-themed ornaments.
“We have the Faneuil Hall ornament, we have the State House and Prudential [Center] ornaments [too], so it’s very unique,” Silva added.
While the actual holiday season may not be the busiest time of year for the store, they can still count on a lot of visitors.
“It’s so cute, they have a lot of stuff that you can’t see in other places, and it just says Christmas,” one visitor said.
