Three Men Arrested In Connection With String Of Newton Robberies

NEWTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police in Newton have arrested three men in connection with a string of break-ins in March.

The men were identified as Joiser O. Zapata of Boston, Joseph R. Sarro of Mattapan, and Ernest E. Woods of Mattapan.

Police charged Sarro and Zapata with receiving stolen property, and charged Woods with larceny.

The charges stem from a series of break-ins on the weekend of March 15 and 16 in Newton Highlands and Waban.

Mayor Ruthanne Fuller thanked the Police Department in an update, reminding residents to keep their doors and windows locked.
