LYNN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A violent weekend in Lynn has now left three people dead and five others injured.

The Essex County District Attorney's Office said 21-year-old Jandriel Heredia of Revere died on Sunday from injuries he got during a major shooting on Essex Street.

Seven people were shot early on Saturday at the graduation party. One other man, 25-year-old Abraham Diaz, was also killed. Police had no new information Sunday night on the condition of the five others.

Police said there was another fatal shooting in Lynn on Lincoln Street less than half a mile away on Saturday night, which left one man dead. They don't believe the two shootings are connected.

Lynn Mayor Jared Nicholson released statements on the shootings, saying in part that "I know that our community will rally as we confront the collective fear heightened by the events of this weekend."

No arrests have been made in either case yet.
