Three Quincy Summer School Staff Test Positive For COVID-19

QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — In the last week, one administrative staff member and two summer school teachers at Quincy Public Schools have tested positive for COVID-19.

According to WBZ-TV, the two teachers work for the Special Education in-person summer learning programs at North Quincy High School and the Della Chiesa Early Childhood Center. The third employee is an administrative staffer at Quincy High School.

Quincy's special needs students returned to limited classes earlier this month, with a maximum of eight students per classroom.

Everyone who came in contact with the infected staffers has been advised to get tested for the virus, and to quarantine for 14 days as a precaution.

Students who may have been exposed during summer classes are continuing to learn remotely.
