Three Teens Charged With Throwing Rocks At Cars In Billerica

BILLERICA, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Three teenagers are expected to be charged for allegedly throwing rocks into traffic in Billerica on Sunday, causing injuries to one driver.

Reports came in shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday about two vehicles being struck by rocks on Route 3 near Exit 27. The first motorist sustained minor injuries from flying glass and was transported to Lahey Clinic. The second motorist was not injured.

The investigation led Massachusetts State Police Troopers and Billerica Police to locate the three males believed to have throw the rocks from the side of the road.

A 19-year-old male from Wilmington, a 17-year-old male from Billerica, and a 17-year-old male from Burlington will be summonsed to court on various charges, according to police.

Their names were not immediately released.
