ROSLINDALE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Roslindale business is cornering the market in making people feel like royalty.
Boston Throne Chairs in Roslindale lets people rent throne chairs for special occasions such as birthday parties, bridal showers, graduations, baby showers, bachelorette parties, and photoshoots.
The company is owned by entrepreneur Marie Stuart Noel, a Randolph resident who founded the business in 2018 after being in the Army reserves and managing clinical trials at Harvard Clinical Research Institute.
"I would always see [throne chairs] on music videos, photoshoots, celebrities were using them," said Noel on the inspiration for her business. "I decided to start selling and renting them."
Noel acknowledged that a big reason for her company's success is because it's the only one of its kind in the Boston area.
"I know I'm the only company that exclusively does throne chairs," Noel said.
