BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Although we’re still three months away from the Red Sox home opener, nothing is stopping some Sox fans from getting their tickets early.

Tickets are now on sale for all Red Sox spring training games through May 28, as well as the home opener on April 3. Fans of all ages have been heading to Fenway to pick up their tickets, including Judy and Joe, both of whom are long-time fans and ready to celebrate Joe’s 84th birthday.

“We’re saving our money and spending it on him for opening day,” said Judy. “It’s just great, it’s a great spot to be great fans, great team.”

“It’s a wonderful birthday gift,” said Joe. “We had season tickets in section 32 for probably 15 years, during the World Series years.”

Despite living on a college student budget, Wyatt said he’ll still be on the lookout for a seat in Fenway Park.

“Any cheap tickets I'll probably be buying,” said Wyatt.

There are also six special gate giveaways during games in April and May, where fans have a chance to win a Roman Anthony rookie year bobble-head, a Patriots Day windbreaker, and other prizes.

The first spring training game for the Red Sox is Feb. 21 against the Minnesota Twins. More information on tickets can be found on the Red Sox website here.
