BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio)— Fans looking to buy tickets for the Red Sox upcoming American League Championship Series can get their tickets starting Tuesday, regardless of who they face.
The Red Sox clinched their spot in the next round of the postseason with a 6-5 win over the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 4 of the American League Divisional Series Monday. Tickets for the Red Sox home games in the ALCS, scheduled for Oct. 18, 19, and 20 if necessary, go on sale Friday on the Red Sox website.
However, fans will need to wait until either Tuesday or Wednesday night to find out which other American League team the Red Sox will face in the ALCS. The Houston Astros and Chicago White Sox play Game 4 of their five-game series Tuesday at 2:07 p.m.

The Astros lead the series 2-1 and would advance with a win. If the White Sox win, the deciding game will be played Wednesday at 8:07 p.m.
Since the Red Sox are the wildcard team in the MLB playoffs this season, they will go on the road for games one and two regardless of their opponent. Ace Ticket CEO Jimmy Holzman told WBZ's Shari Small (@ShariSmallNews) what fans can do if they don't want to wait to buy their tickets for the opening two games.
"They can buy tickets for both places and whichever game doesn't happen they would get a full refund on it," Holzman said.
Tickets for the Red Sox first home game for the ALCS on Oct. 18 start at around $190 on Ace Ticket.
