BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — You may want to check your pockets and maybe under the seat cushions.
There are three unclaimed Massachusetts Lottery prizes nearing expiration.
Lottery officials said two $100,000 Mass Cash prizes and one $50,000 Powerball prize are out there somewhere.
Those winning tickets were sold in Massachusetts in September 2023 nearly a year ago, and they beg the question, what would you do with that money?
The responses were pretty practical. "Buying a house would be nice," said one person. "College, or to my wife." said another.
Officials said the Mass Cash winners were bought in Holyoke and Brookline, while the winning Powerball was sold in Everett.
If a prize goes unclaimed, it goes right back into the lottery as net profit.
