BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Commuters are bracing for the start of a big two-year road improvement project on and around the Tobin Bridge that kicks off Monday.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said it begins resurfacing parts of the Tobin Bridge and Route 1 in Chelsea.
Both north and south bound traffic will be impacted.
Officials are encouraging commuters to make smart travel decisions such as using public transit and appropriate travel apps to help minimize delays.
