BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — As we approach Tom Brady's first-ever move into free agency, it's the question on every Patriots fan's mind. What will TB12 do next?
Over the past year there have been a few hints about what Brady's future could hold. The 42-year-old has said in several interviews that he wants to play to age 45. Then there was the mysterious black and white photo he posted to instagram, which turned out to be a Super Bowl ad, in which Brady states; "Me? I'm not going anywhere."
Hints aside, it seems no matter how much reporters try, Tom Brady is keeping his lips sealed about whether he's leaving New England.
According to Brady's golf buddy Ben Affleck, even his friends don't know what he's thinking.

On Tuesday, Affleck appeared on ESPN's Get Up to promote his upcoming film The Way Back.
"You said you spoke to Tom Brady last night," Get Up host Mike Greenberg said to Affleck. "What can you tell us, as we are one month to the day from free agency beginning in the NFL?"
Affleck said Brady's response was short and sweet - if a bit ambiguous.... It was the shrug emoji.

"He's a prince, and a kind guy, and a really sweet man, and just the greatest football player who has ever lived and I don't know who could ever possibly deny that," Affleck said. "Me and Matt [Damon] texted, 'What's the deal? You going or you stayin'?' And this is what we got back. An emoji," Affleck said, shrugging. "So I really have no information for you."
Despite Brady giving very little away, Affleck said he's still holding out hope the quarterback will choose to spend the final years of his career in New England.
"I hope he stays... by the same token he has given up a lot of money to play for that franchise over the years," Affleck told Greenberg. "I pray and hope he stays, it would break my heart if he left.... But I would respect the fact if he wanted to go."
The NFL's free agency period begins March 18, 4 p.m. ET.
