BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Where are the safest places to live in Massachusetts?
Property Club released a list of the top ten safest towns in the Commonwealth earlier this month. The list was based on population, home pricing, and low crime rate.
Clinton topped the list with a population of 15,428, a crime rate that is around 97 percent lower than the national average, and a median home price of $400,741.

Hopkinton came in second place, described as "a great choice for commuters looking for space and safety outside of Boston." The Middlesex County town of 18,758 boasts a crime rate that is 91 percent below the national average and a median home price of $872,472.
Rounding out the top three was Franklin, which has a population of 36,745, a crime rate 89 percent lower than the national average, and a median home price of $612,688
Franklin "offers residents plenty of small-town charm and a lot of safety," Property Club wrote.
