BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — It was a fun, busy Memorial Day weekend for people who picked Massachusetts as their holiday destination, but now it is time to go home.

WBZ NewsRadio caught up with tourists catching a flight out of Logan International Airport to talk about their experiences, whether it be coming for the scenery, visiting family, or attending Boston Calling 2024.

"It's pretty, it's nice. Wild drivers," one person said.

"I actually went out to the Cape, my friend is a park ranger out there," said a woman heading to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. "Just got to explore and hang out by the beach a little bit."

While Memorial Day weekend is considered the unofficial start of summer, for some out-of-towers the weather was a mixed bag.

"Oh it sucks, it sucks. Come on, now," said a man returning home to Naples, Florida.

"We didn’t experience any rain until last night. It was hot and humid, very humid," one woman said.

"It was actually really nice," said another woman. "It only rained, like, the last day, but it was really nice. The last time I was here was actually April, I think, and it was so really cold, I was surprised. Coming from Texas, it’s already like 100° there, so it’s a lot nicer here."
