HOPKINTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Monday, April 20th, marks Patriots' Day, and what would be traditionally the Boston Marathon. However, the Town of Hopkinton asked that everyone stay inside on 'Marathon Monday.'
In a statement, the town said that runners should not try to run the marathon course next Monday, which beings in Hopkinton.
This is to encourage people to stay home and follow social distancing guidelines.
The Boston Marathon has been rescheduled to Monday, September 14.
