WESTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – On Wednesday, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) told commuters that a tractor trailer rollover would be impacting their morning travel.

MassDOT first reported the crash after 6:00 a.m, which occurred on the eastbound ramp of I-90 at the I-95/Route 128 interchange in Weston earlier in the morning.

Crews on scene worked to clear the wreckage and closed multiple ramps as a result. Traffic was also being diverted to exit 41. MassDOT said all ramps were reopened at around 9:00 a.m.

Massachusetts State Police said the driver in the crash was not seriously injured. However, police said there was fuel that leaked from the truck and spilled over into the Charles River.

Most of the fuel that made it the river landed on the ice and did not seep into the water. A representative from the Department of Environmental Protection added this makes for a difficult clean-up for crews.
