After the victim fell to the ground, TPD said, Zaniboni struck him several more times on the face and head, and then took his sunglasses.
Officers searched for Zaniboni but weren't able to find him right away. Thanks to a detailed witness description, he was found around noon at Summer and Chauncey Streets, and taken into custody.
Transit Police said he admitted to the robbery, and had the victim's sunglasses on him when he was arrested.
Zaniboni was found to have several warrants out for his arrest out of Boston Municipal Court for assault and battery on a police officer, assault with a dangerous weapon, malicious destruction of property, and trespassing.
