BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Early Sunday morning, police officers and first responders swarmed a scene near the Forest Hills Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Station after two bodies were discovered.

MBTA Transit Police told WBZ NewsRadio in a statement that two men were pronounced dead on scene. Officials say they do not suspect foul play, as preliminary investigation suggests the pair of victims died of drug overdose.

The Forest Hills Station is a stop along the Orange Line, Franklin/Foxboro Line, Needham Line, and Providence/Stoughton Line. The station is also a destination for plenty of MBTA buses running in the Greater Boston Area.

Elsewhere on the Mattapan Trolley, service saw delays of up to twenty minutes because of a mechanical problem near Cedar Grove. That issue was since addressed, and scheduled service resumed as normal for the rest of Sunday.
