Transit Police Search For Suspect After Alleged Downtown Crossing Assaults

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in two separate instances at the MBTA’s Downtown Crossing station.

According to MBTA Transit Police, the assault and battery incidents happened “without provocation” at around 4:30 p.m. on July 14. In the span of 15 minutes, the suspect spat on one person and assaulted a 69-year-old woman.  

Pictures were posted on the MBTA Transit Police’s social media, which show the suspect wearing dark colored clothing with a pink bag hanging off their shoulder.
