MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – People have been trying to find new ways to provide enjoyment during the pandemic and a couple in Marlborough decided to launch their own unique business venture.

When the pandemic hit, Brian McCarthy lost his job as bartender. He decided to take matters into his own hands by converting an old airport luggage trailer into the Traveling Town Tavern.

McCarthy and his fiancé Marcie Lombard bring their boozy experience to anyone over the age of 21 and willing to pay.

“We bring the bar to you,” McCarthy explains. “You book us, and we come to you, and we serve you drinks.”

However, his truck goes beyond just being a food truck. It also has an inside that looks like a sports bar complete with tables and even a small couch.

“We have four TVs inside and four TVs outside, so you won’t miss an event,” McCarthy says.

Right now, customers supply their own booze but McCarthy hopes to get a license soon so he can sell his own liquor.
