BOSTON (AP/WBZ NewsRadio) — The Transportation Security Administration says for the third time this month officials have discovered a loaded gun in a passenger's carry-on bag at Boston's airport.

TSA officers at Logan International Airport seized the gun when a Yarmouth man's belongings went through an X-ray machine last Friday.

The man was carrying a 9mm gun loaded with 10 bullets.

State Police spokesman David Procopio says the man will be summoned to appear in district court. No name was provided.

This incident follows a three day span earlier this month when TSA found two guns in travelers' luggage at Logan.

The TSA says travelers are not allowed to hold guns in their carry-on bags even if they have a gun permit.

It was the 15th gun found in passengers' luggage at Logan this year.
