BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Two people were arrested after a fight involving dozens of individuals broke out Saturday morning near the Boston Medical Center.
Shortly after 11 a.m., two troopers who were working a detail near the intersection of Mass. Avenue and Albany Street in Boston spotted a large fight involving an estimated 50-60 people break out near Mass. Avenue and Melnea Cass Blvd.
MSP said personnel from the State Police Tunnels Barracks, the State Police Boston Barracks, and the Boston Police Department all responded to the scene.
The fight was eventually broken up and the crowd was dispersed. Two arrests were made; one by the Boston Police Department, and another by State Police for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
Authorities are investigating what may have sparked the fight.
