BOSTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — On Sunday, Tropical Storm Henri brought heavy rain and strong winds to the area, and during the afternoon a porch partially collapsed causing injury to one person.
The incident happened around 2 p.m. on Dorchester Avenue. According to Boston EMS, two quick acting EMTs were able to rescue the person.
EMTs Powell and Rosati rescued the person in distress, after hearing screams and jumping into action.
One person was transported to an area hospital. No further information is available at this time on their condition. The cause of the collapse is still being investigated.
