Lakeville, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An unusual wedding between two furry friends took place on Saturday morning in Lakeville, Mass.
A 7-year-old Chihuahua-Terrier mix named Benji walked the aisle dressed in a grey tuxedo with a black bow tie and a top hat.
A 10-year-old Shih Tzu named Freckles followed wearing a white lacy gown and veil with pink painted nails.
The dogs exchanged bow vows, signed a pre-pup agreement, and registered at Bed Bark and Beyond.
The wedding was put on to bring joy to the community and to raise money for the Lakeville Council of Aging and the Lakeville Animal Shelter.
The wedding raised over $5,500 for the organizations.
