BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Two fatal shootings in Dorchester, Mass. took place in roughly 10 hours.
Police responded to a shooting on Corona St. near Geneva Ave. around 2:00 P.M. on Friday, where they found a man with gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
At about 12:30 A.M. on Saturday, officers responded to another call of a shooting on Blue Hill Ave. Upon arrival, the officers located a man with gunshot wounds, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Superintendent in Chief Gregory Long spoke Saturday morning about the two shootings and ensuing investigations.
“Obviously it’s very concerning any time you have any act of violence, and obviously having two in a short period of time, it is concerning,” said Long. "We’re doing everything we can to find those individuals that are responsible and hold them accountable.”
