BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A JetBlue aircraft en route to Las Vegas entering a de-icing pad lane at Logan Airport collided with another JetBlue aircraft en route to Orlando on a different de-icing pad lane, causing damage to one of the aircraft’s winglets and the other aircraft’s tail section. There were no injuries reported by passengers or crew on either aircraft. Both flights were canceled, and the aircraft will be taken out of service for repairs.
“It was a bump [but] it wasn’t a huge crash and not anything extreme," said a passenger on the Vegas-bound flight.
The flights to Las Vegas and Orlando will operate on other aircraft. “Safety is JetBlue’s priority, and we will work to determine how and why this incident occurred,” said the airline in a statement.
