Two Men Shot And Killed In Mattapan

BOSTON, Mass (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston police report two men were gunned down in Mattapan late Saturday night.

Officers responding to reports of a person shot in the area of 12 Violet St. around 11 p.m. found the two men, both in their late 40s, suffering from gunshot wounds. One was hit in the head, the other in the chest.

According to Boston police superintendent in chief Gregory Long the unidentified men were both taken to area hospitals, where they were pronounced dead.

No word yet on what led to the shooting. Police are urging anyone with information to contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit.
