U.S. Women's Soccer Forward Carli Lloyd Potentially Kicks Off NFL Career

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — U.S. Women's Soccer forward Carli Lloyd is an Olympic gold medalist, FIFA champion, and soon to be...star football kicker.

Maybe.

The 37-year-old athlete is fielding NFL offers after recently nailing a 55-yard-field goal kick while practicing with the Philadelphia Eagles. The video went viral, causing debate online.

Although most of the comments were impressed—Pro Football Hall of Famer Morten Anderson even offered support if Lloyd decides to cross fields—some online remained skeptical.

WBZ NewsRadio's James Rojas went into the field, literally, along with sports reporter Brian Antonelli, editor Drew Moholland, and writer Matt Phipps, to see if they could make the kick.
