Vaccination Clinics Open In Old North Church And Charlestown

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The church that played a famous role at the start of the American Revolution will now pull its weight in the battle against COVID-19. A new vaccination center opened in Boston's Old North Church on Tuesday.

The clinic at the church is run by NEW Health, and will be taking vaccination appointments every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

John "Sonny" Mirabella is getting his shot at the Old North Church this Thursday. He said getting the vaccination inside a church made him feel more comfortable.

"That doesn't mean I can't get it, but maybe I won't get it as bad," he said.

Another vaccination site at NEW Health Center in Charlestown opened up on Tuesday as well.
